Every Friday night we feature local musicians at 6PM at 8th & Main Street on the Square. Join us, bring your lawn chair and start your weekend with live music on a summer evening in a beautiful setting. Each First Friday, our Music on the Square is a street dance at 8PM. We are open late the First Friday of each month from February through December with a celebration of live music and shop owners waiting to greet you. First Fridays and many of our other events are on and within a few blocks of the Square. We hope you will come shop, dine and explore our beautiful historic downtown district. Many of our wonderful shops are open on Sunday until 5:00PM. Directions to downtown: From IH35, take Hwy. 29 east to Austin Ave. and turn north (left). Come north to the next light at 8th Street and turn right. This will bring you to the Square which is the heart of downtown. From there, it is a pleasant walk to all our shops, restaurants, spas and other merchants within a few blocks north, south, east and west of the Courthouse. Come, wander our hometown and feel the authentic welcome that is uniquely Texas, uniquely Georgetown.
